Apache Junction is a city primarily in Pinal County, Arizona, USA, with a small portion in Maricopa County. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 31,814.

Apache Junction is named for the junction of the Apache Trail and U.S. Highway 60. Superstition Mountain, the westernmost peak of the Superstition Mountains, is nearby.

The median income for a household in the city was $33,170, and the median income for a family was $37,726. Males had a median income of $31,283 versus $22,836 for females. Gold Canyon is built primarily around a golf resort. Although there is a continuing battle to make Gold Canyon its own town, it remains unincorporated.
